Layer ventilation / displacement ventilation Contaminated air is drawn in through intake ducts located four to six meters above the floor. Exhaust ducts near the floor evenly return the air to the room. The filtered air pushes the welding fumes upward via thermal convection caused by heat. The ducts are connected to the central exhaust and filtration system.
